Out and About

Recent Adventures -- not as much rain recently so I'm exploring more of Cuenca.

The English Book Exchange is held every Thurs. morning at the 'developing' Windhorse Cafe, owned by Lucy (in the red jacket & Craig (in the white shirt).  It's a great place for meeting expats & gathering info.  The expat community is the best -- everyone assisting in every way.  That makes for a very special community of people who want to help expats integrate into the Ecuadorian life style.
The Ecuadorians are delightful.  Many stop us on the street, offer advice, suggestions or offer assistance.  What a treat to have people concerned about us.

Below is the open air flower market that is available every day.  Very inexpensive prices for beautiful fresh flowers.
Would you believe?  Bread baked daily in wood ovens. The smells & tastes are wonderful.  That means a daily trip to the panaderia.
One of the best meals I have ever eaten:  Argentinian food at a nearby restaurant.
All this fruit for $2.00!

I could continue about the fresh food & healthy lifestyle, but this internet connection is very slow, so I'll close for now.  More pictures later because we're going on a city tour today.  Adios!
